1. Who we are
IKanFix is operated by The Bestway Digital Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales ("we", "us", "our"). We are the data controller for personal data processed through the IKanFix service. Contact: support@ikanfix.com.
2. Personal data we collect
- Account data: name, email address, login credentials, authentication tokens.
- Usage data: guides generated, prompts you submit, photos you upload, tools and shopping lists you save, planner entries.
- Device and technical data: IP address, device identifiers, browser type, operating system, log data, and approximate location derived from IP.
- Support data: messages you send to our support team.
- Billing data: handled directly by Paddle (see "Sharing" below); we receive a customer ID, subscription status, plan, and billing dates — not your full card details.
3. How we use your data and legal bases
- Provide the Service (account creation, generating guides, saving content) — performance of contract.
- Security, fraud prevention, abuse detection — legitimate interests.
- Improve the Service (debugging, analytics, model evaluation on aggregated/anonymised data) — legitimate interests.
- Customer support — performance of contract / legitimate interests.
- Legal compliance (tax, accounting, responding to lawful requests) — legal obligation.
- Marketing (only where you have opted in) — consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
4. Sharing your data
We share personal data with the following categories of recipients:
- Service providers / subprocessors: cloud hosting, database, authentication, analytics, AI inference and customer support tooling, acting on our behalf under contract.
- Paddle as our Merchant of Record for sale of the Service, subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing. Paddle is an independent controller for billing data — see paddle.com/legal/privacy.
- Professional advisers (legal, accounting) under confidentiality.
- Authorities where required by law or to protect our rights.
We do not sell your personal data.
5. International transfers
Some of our subprocessors are located outside the UK/EEA. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK/EU Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.
6. Retention
We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, accounting and security obligations. Generated guides and uploaded content are kept while your account is active and deleted (or anonymised) on account deletion, subject to backup cycles.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR and EU GDPR you have the right to:
- access your personal data;
- request correction of inaccurate data;
- request erasure ("right to be forgotten");
- restrict or object to processing;
- data portability;
- withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent;
- complain to your local supervisory authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office, ico.org.uk).

8. Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit, access controls and least-privilege practices.
9. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember preferences. We do not use advertising cookies. If we add analytics cookies in future we will request your consent first.
10. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes
We may update this notice from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the Service.
